Curing Acne Naturally – Effective Herbal Acne Treatments

By Danna Schneider

Chances are, if you find yourself reading this article, you have suffered the feelings of embarassment, self-consciousness and insecurity an acne breakout can bring on in what seems like the blink of an eye. Suddenly, you find yourself checking the mirror every hour on the hour, hoping the blemishes on your face have spontaneously cleared and you can breathe a sigh of relief. You feel sure that everyone you come in contact with is zooming in on each and every blemish, and why wouldn’t they be? It’s certainly the first thing YOU see when you look in the mirror!

Now, imagine you experience this exact scenario every day of your life, as many men and women do who suffer chronic adult acne, far beyond the “acne prone” years of adolescence. The fact is, acne remains a very real and persistent problem in today’s society for men and women, teenagers and adults, and instead of going away or getting better, it seems to be more prominent and more severe than ever. What this can be attributed to is the subject of much debate in the medical and dermatological community. Higher stress levels? More hormones and synthetic chemicals in our foods? Genes? Changing diets? It’s anyone’s guess, but the fact remains that acne is a very real cause for emotional distress, self-consciousness and insecurity for many, and it shows no signs of getting better.

With the advent of modern dermatology and medical science, there have been some excellent new products that combine modern science and nature to form a hybrid product superior to many of it’s prescription counterparts, and highly effective for many who have found that traditional treatments failed them in the long run. The aim of these products is to facilitate hormonal balance, therefore targeting acne at the source, from the inside, rather than the outside alone. http://www.cosmeticsgalore.com/best-skincare-products-reviews.html

These herbal acne medicines have proven highly effective in combatting acne by “cleansing” the skin from the inside, getting to the source of the problem by balancing the natural testosterone and estrogen found within the male and female body. Excess testosterone and excess estrogen are the primary causes of acne, hence the most common years for acne breakouts are the teenage years of hormonal turmoil.

Natural acne products can actually clear the skin for good, only requiring occasional follow up treatments, whereas conventional methods can require constant treatment, and the results disappear as soon as the individual weens themselves off the medicine. Also, many acne treatments prescribed by doctors or dermatologists are antibiotic in nature. Continuous antibiotic treatment can actually result in antibiotic resistance in the body, meaning when you really need your body to respond to antibiotic treatment, such as in illness, it may have built a tolerance and need more powerful meds to respond correctly. Some prescribed acne medications can even be dangerous, and are to be taken only for the most severe cases of acne and with the utmost caution (Acutane).

These treatments and systems are designed to target the hormones, balancing them in many cases for good, and requiring little or no follow up treatment or monitoring. They can work for people (myself a case-in-point), who have had every other conventional acne treatment fail them time and time again, or become ineffective over time.

Overall, herbal acne remedies have proven to be a highly effective and cost effective alternative for countless acne sufferers. Why not try it, and join the Clear Skin Club?

By Stewart C

It is really embarrassing to roam around with a pimpled and acne scarred face. It indirectly pulls down your self esteem and confidence level. No wonder, people are all the time looking for remedies and treatments that can help them get rid of such scars. Some acne, when treated properly, diminishes with time. But there are some acne marks that leave behind permanent scars.

8 Homemade Natural Remedies

If you visit a doctor for treatment, you will only end up wasting lots of money and time. Instead, you can try homemade natural remedies that are harmless and do not contain any harmful ingredients or chemicals. Some of the natural remedies that can aid in acne removal are as follows:

1) You can take cucumber and tomato juice and mix them well and apply the mixture on your face regularly. You must leave the juice on your face for about 20-30 minutes and then wash it off with water. Tomatoes possess antioxidant characteristics that prevent skin damage right from the cellular level. Additionally, it improves the skin tone and strengthens the immunity system. Both the vegetables help to open up and maintain the skin pores.

2) The paste obtained by mixing sandalwood and black gram is also an effective natural remedy for treating skin acne. You must also make use of rose water or milk along with the paste. You must apply the paste for a night or so and wash it off with cold water the next morning. Known for its cooling and soothing effect, the sandalwood helps to get rid of the inflammation and irritation sensation.

3) The neem paste made in India as well as the tea tree oil found in Australia also helps to fight skin acne. The anti- inflectional and antibacterial properties possessed by these two natural supplements help to fight the infection and also prevent the occurrence of further infection.

4) Another useful natural remedy that combats the effects and presence of acne scars is the use of egg white. This too must be face masked overnight and can be washed off with cool water the next morning. Egg whites contain the vitamins and proteins that enter the skin pores and help to fight the infection right from the roots and tips.

5) The use of icepacks reduces the occurrence of acnes on the face. Ice helps to fight the inflammation and reduces the swelling of the acne too.

6) Aloe Vera also helps to treat acne scars. There are aloe vera gels available in the market. The gel possesses properties enabling it to kill the infection and provide immediate soothing effect on the skin.

7) A mix of turmeric powder and mint juice should be applied to the infected area for about 30 minutes. It will get you the desired results. Make sure you wash the mixture off your face with lukewarm water.

Stop! Before You Pop Pimples Be Sure to Read This!

By Astra Yadira

Pimples are a nightmare! Don’t you just hate it when you wake up in the morning and see a huge pimple staring back at you in the mirror?

It always seems to appear right when we don’t want it the most. On the first day of school, have that big date coming up or when we have that really important job interview.

Don’t blame yourself, these little buggers are actually infections that appear in the skin due to built up dirt and bacteria.

A pimple is not just the white gunk that shoots out when you pop it. Yes, we have all seen this gunk and it is not pretty. I’ve even seen it in projectile mode, but that is another story.

You might be really tempted to just pop it and get it over with but that is not always the best idea. Sure it may make you feel better going out in public, but the residual affects are not worth it. Let me explain…

When you pop a pimple it creates a small open wound on your face. Which leaves it open to infection which will only lead to more whiteheads. In fact, popping a pimple will most likely just lead to even more pimples. Who wants that? Certainly not me.

Another negative for popping pimples is that it spreads oil, dirt and bacteria on your skin, which just spreads them. What you need is a solution that will stop the cycle. It seems like many of these pimple solutions are not really “solutions” after all.

The last thing you want to do is keep popping your pimples and develop acne scars that stay with you for the rest of your life. Stop thinking about the short term satisfaction of popping your pimple and think about the long term health of your skin! You owe this to yourself.

We have all seen adults that have pock marks in their skin because they did not heed this advice when they were younger. Don’t let your skin turn into this. Reverse the damage while you still can.

What is a person to do then when faced with a mounting pimple (no pun intended)? Well, start off with a better diet. What you put in your body comes out through your pores. When you eat healthy food you will have healthy skin.

A person eating pepperoni pizza every day will start to have a face that resembles what they are eating. Not very cute after a while.

Stressing out certainly does not help the situation either. Calm down and clean up your lifestyle. Stress and dairy products produce hormones in our bodies that don’t give off the most flattering affects for our complexion.

If things get really bad you may want to consider visiting a doctor to see if there is a more complicated problem on your hands. However, most of the time you can clear this up on your own.

Just keep your fingers away from those pimples and resist the urge to pop. Your complexion will thank you in the long run.

Acne Should Be Taken More Seriously! – Common Acne Treatment Medications

By Sarah H

Acne already is a very common skin condition which anyone at anytime can develop especially in children and teenagers all over the world. Acne is not usually considered to be a serious condition, which is why it is ignored and under treated most of the time. But that however is very wrong because acne can actually be a very serious problem for most teenagers. It can be very embarrassing, bothersome and stressful and leave most people very self conscious about it. Acne should be taken more seriously than most people take it to be and should be treated right when it is starting to develop to prevent it from getting worse.

There are lots of acne treatments out on the market today that you can probably find at your local pharmacy but the most common types of acne medication are over the counter drugs with benzoyl peroxide in it. The reason why benzoyl peroxide is so commonly used in acne treatment products is because it has the ability to kill bacteria, heal pimples and zits and it can unblock pores. There are many different types of treatments that contain benzoyl peroxide which include gels and creams. The best thing that you can do for your acne is to use the product with the highest strength of benzoyl peroxide that your face can handle.

Some other common medications used to treat acne other than benzoyl peroxide are sulfur and salicylic acid. Some products with benzoyl peroxide in it are Clearasil, oxy-10 fostex, persa gel, Neutrogena on the spot and clear skin regimen gel. Another common acne medication that would be highly recommended is ‘pro active cream’ which claims to give good results. With most acne treatment it will probably take a couple of weeks before you see a major improvement in your acne condition. These products can be used to treat both severe and minor cases of acne but would work relatively better on minor cases.

These over the counter drugs usually help to clear up most acne cases but if after several weeks of using the medication you do not see an improvement in your acne condition you may want to consider seeing a dermatologist to get some stronger prescription drugs, but don’t be too fast to say that the product you are using is not working because acne usually gets worse before getting better and it may also take up to 3-6 weeks before you see any improvement in your acne.
